Coffee plantation in Lao Ngam

Coffee plantation in Lao Ngam

(KPL) This year farmers in Lao Ngam district, in southern Saravane province, hope to harvest some 2,500 tons of coffee beans for export.
The Boloven Plateau Development Company will provide the capital for planting and efforts to improve quality. Harvested coffee beans will then be purchased by the same company.
The company has 50 ha of land set aside for coffee plantation and 39 million kip for promoting the business. The company will also invest in improving the quality of beans and clearing 20 ha of land to extend the plantation. Some 70 million kip have been earmarked for these two objectives.
