Iran To Transfer Gas To Europe

Tehran, Sept 24, IRNA – Deputy Minister of Oil for Planning Mohsen Khojastehmehr says Iran has entered into in talks for export of gas to Europe.
Addressing a press conference, Khojastehmehr said Iran is the safest gas supplier in the long-run.
He said, “We are now busy holding in talks for gas exports and transfer of gas to Europe.”
He added that presently, Iran has signed final contracts with Turkey, Pakistan and Iraq for export of gas to those countries and operations have started for gas exports to Iraq.
Khojastehmehr said 80 percent of the project on gas injection into gas fields is complete.
“Last year, National Iranian Oil Company planned to inject about 130 million cubic meters/day gas into oil fields.”
As of next year, with arrival of South Pars gas field products at the market, Iran's gas balance will be positive.
