Iran President Terms Lebanon As Center Of Resistance

Tehran, Oct 14, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that Lebanon is a center of resistance and a source of honor for regional nations and all freedom lovers and justice seekers. In a message to an International Seminar on Resistance, President Ahmadinejad said Lebanon is a hub of resistance and the laudable resistance of the Lebanese nation, government and army is a source of dignity and honor for regional nations and all the freedom lovers and justice seekers of the world. The Seminar was held in Dezful, Khuzestan province, on the second anniversary of the President Ahmadinejad’s visit to Lebanon and announcement of Iranian city of Dezful and Lebanon’s Tyre as sister cities. “The Iranian and Lebanese nations share many cultural and historical commonalities, advocate peace, justice and fraternity among all nations, and oppose occupation, injustice and bullying. The message of the Iranian and Lebanese nations is solidarity and joint resistance against hegemony,” added the message. He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always welcomed expansion of mutual cooperation and common efforts for Lebanon's development and dignity. The dear Iranian nation, caring for the destiny of mankind, has always sided with the brave Lebanese nation and uses all its capacities for consolidation of mutual ties./end
