King approves establishment of Specialist Children Hospital

Riyadh, October 26, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has approved the establishment of King
Abdullah Specialist Children Hospital as a referral medical facility
for all chronic and intractable cases, including the cases of
conjoined twin surgery.


This has been announced by Dr. Abdullah Abdulaziz Al- Rabeeah, CEO
of Health Affairs at the National Guard and the head of the Medical
and surgical team of conjoined twins' separation after a successful
surgery of the Siamese twin Eyad and Ziyad operated at King Abdulaziz
Medical City.


Dr. Al-Rabeeah thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince as well as Saudi and
Iraqi peoples for the successful operation of Siamese twins Eyad and
Ziyad.

Dr. Al-Rabeeah described this operation, which now is the twentieth
of its kind at the Hospital, as a success for the country and the
citizens as well as an accomplishment for this profound and esteem
medical facility.
