Tunisia To Host 4th Islamic Proximity Meet

Tehran, Dec 19, IRNA – The Fourth Meeting of the High Council of Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought will be held in Tunisia from December 20-21. Secretary General of the Forum as well as distinguished personalities from the world of Islam will get together to review issues relating to proximity and various Islamic schools of thought and other problems facing the world of Islam. The meeting will be hosted by Tunisia upon a call by Dr Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO). The first such meeting was held in Rabat in May 2007, based on the Forum's strategy framework drawn up in Malaysia in 2003.
