Export Value Of Non-Oil Gas On Decline

Jambi, Jan 16 (ANTARA) - The total export value of non-oil and gas in Jambi decreased by 7.4 percent in November 2012 as compared to October 2012, from US$92.31 million to US$85.47 million. "The export volume of non-oil and gas had also decreased from 1.65 million tonnes between January and November 2011 to 1.03 million, during the same period in 2012," said the Chief of the Jambi Statistical Agency, Yos Rusdiansyah, here on Wednesday. The total export value of non-oil and gas as well as coal had reached US$79.9 million in October 2012, and decreased by 2.63 percent, reaching US$77.8 million in November 2012. The total export value in October 2012 reached US$ 193 million, and decreased by 55.92 percent to US$85.47 million in November 2012. There was a decline in the export value of mining products, from US$113 million in October 2012 to US$7.66 million in November 2012. The export value of goods produced by the industry sector reached US$77.54 million in October 2012. In November 2012, the export value dropped to US$76.13 million. "The export value of crops produced by the agricultural sector decreased by 29.35 percent in November 2012, from US$2.36 million in October 2012 to US$1.67 million in November 2012," said Rusdiansyah. Oil and gas have increased the export value of the country significantly, by US$101.16 million.
