German Opposition Lawmaker Urges EU Sanction Relief For Iran

Berlin, Feb 7, IRNA -- A senior German legislator of the opposition party The Left (Die Linke) called for easing European Union sanctions against Iran. Talking to German television, the foreign policy spokesman of the radical leftist party, Jan van Aken stressed loosening EU sanctions against Iran could facilitate western negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program. He made clear Germany could play a de-escalating role in the Iranian nuclear row.
