Iranian President receives Sheikh Abdullah
Tehran, Oct 30, 2008 (WAM) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran received yesterday in Khorram Abad visiting UAE Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to the Iranian president best wishes of UAE President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The meeting reviewed ways of enhancing relations of cooperation between the two countries.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the historic visit made by the Iranian president to the UAE last year. He stressed the importance of further developing and boosting these relations. He said the joint ministerial committee whose Memorandum of Understanding was signed today was a fruit of the meeting between the UAE president and his Iranian counterpart during the latter trip to the UAE.
