President: No Halts In Iran’s Nuclear Program

Tehran, April 9, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed the need for accelerating pace of Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities and said there is no halt for the country’s atomic program. The president made the remarks here Tuesday while addressing a ceremony to observe the National Nuclear Technology Day. He said Iran has already become a nuclear country and no one is capable of stealing this title. Ahmadinejad, who is the head of the Supreme National Security Council, severely criticized certain countries for their claims to run the world affairs and said it would not be acceptable for people to witness claims by only a few country to possess the world with the rest being their slaves. He said these people should be asked who has granted this right to them. Noting that the time of colonialism and slavery have long been over, he reiterated that the world should be run through cooperation and coordination because all have an equal right to manage the world affairs. He further slammed the way the hegemonic powers are addressing the Iranian nation and said they have to respect nationsˈ rights. Saying that the enemies of Iran falsely thought they could damage the dignity of the nation through pressures, he advised them to correct their behavior since Iran is currently a nuclear country and nobody can stop its atomic progress. President Ahmadinejad also ordered Iranian nuclear officials to speedily launch five new nuclear reactors. During the ceremony, the President also unveiled five nuclear medicines. Families of the Iranian martyred nuclear scientists were also present in the ceremony./end
