AZERBAIJAN CARRIES OUT EXPORT-IMPORT OPERATIONS WORTH OVER $44,2 BILLION

Baku, 7 November,(AzerTAj)According to the State Statistical Committee, Azerbaijan carried out export and import operations worth $44,2 billion with 135 foreign countries in January-September this year.

Exported goods accounted for $39 billion (88,2%) of the trade turnover while imported ones – $5,2 billion, thus, presenting a
trade surplus of $33,8 billion.

Foreign trade turnover picked up 5,4 % year-on-year while export and import surged
9-fold and 33,8% respectively.
Trade with the European Union accounted for 53% of export-import operations, CIS
6,8%, 40,2% other states. European countries` share in the overall trade turnover
constitutes 59,1%, Asian nations` share 25,1%, American countries` share 15,3%,
African nations` 0,5%, Oceania countries` 0,03%.
4/5 (81,3%) of foreign trade operations were carried out with Italy, USA, Israel,
India, France, Russia, Spain, Netherlands, UK, Turkey, Indonesia and Chile.
