Iran-Ukraine Ties Growing : Rohani

Tehran, Aug 4, IRNA – New President Hassan Rohani said Sunday that Iran and Ukraine enjoy good relations in industrial and agricultural fields, describing bilateral cooperation as growing. Rohani made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Ukrainian deputy prime minister. Rohani said there are different ways to upgrade the current level of mutual ties. The Ukrainian official, too, said his country welcomes promotion of cooperation with Iran, in the cultural fields in particular. In related developments, Rohani met and conferred with Cuban vice-president on Sunday. Rohani said Iran attaches importance to its ties with the Latin American states including Cuba and described Tehran-Havana economic relations as important. He reiterated that Tehran is determined to develop ties with Cuba. The Cuban official for his part hoped relations between the two would boost during Rohanis tenure. Cuban and Ukrainian officials along with other top officials from over 55 world countries are currently in the Iranian capital to take part in Rohani's swearing-in ceremony to be held at Majlis this afternoon./end
