President: Majlis-Government Proper Interaction Helpful

Tehran, Aug 12, IRNA – President Hassan Rohani said Monday morning that proper interaction between the Parliament (Majlis) and the government would help further progress of the country. The President made the remarks while addressing MPs who will start debate on competency of his proposed ministers shortly. President Rohani attended Majlis earlier this morning to defend his 18 proposed ministers. President Rohani unveiled the list of his proposed cabinet members during his swearing-in ceremony on August 4. Out of the total 290 members of the Parliament, 231 lawmakers are present in todays session chaired by Speaker Ali Larijani./end
