PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO ARRIVES IN BRAZIL

Brasilia, Nov 18 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his entourage arrived in Brasilia, capital of Brazil, at 3 am on Tuesday, on the third leg of a 13-day working tour of four American countries.

On arrival at Presidente Juscelino Kubitscheck international airport, the president was welcomed by Indonesian Ambassador to Brazil Bali Moniaga and immediately driven to Alvorado Hotel.
Later on Tuesday, Yudhoyono was scheduled to pay a courtesy call on and hold a bilateral meeting with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula De Silva at the Palacio Planalto presidential palace.
After the meeting, a joint declaration on strategic partnership cooperation will be issued. The cooperation will cover the fields of science and technology as well as poverty eradication.
The president is also scheduled to meet the Brazilian House of Representatives chairman after an official luncheon at the Itamaraty Hall of the Palacio Planalto.
On Wednesday, Yudhoyono will visit Ribeirao Preto to observe an ethanol industry. He will also attend a cultural event held to observe 55 years of Indonesia-Brazil relations in Monte Libano Club, Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro.
Before leaving Brazil, the president will meet a number of Brazilian businessmen at JW Marriot Hotel, Copacabana.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono arrived in Brazil from Mexico City where he arrived on Sunday afternoon for a one-day state visit during which he held talks with his Mexican counterpart, Felipe Calderon Hinojosa.
