PM receives Yunnan delegation
(KPL) Mr. Bouasone Bouphavanh, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, received at his office on Tuesday a courtesy visit of the Chinese Yunnan province’s delegation led by Mr. Jinna, head of the Commerce Service of the southwestern province of China.
The Lao Prime Minister said the Chinese Yunnan province’s delegation’s visit was a significant contribution to stepping up and developing the traditional relations of friendship and co-operation between Laos and China, especially between Laos and Yunnan province.
Mr. Jinna thanked the Lao PM for the warm welcome given by the Lao Prime Minister to his delegation.
He also briefed the Lao leader on the objectives of his visit and the outcomes of talks with the Lao side.
On this occasion, the Chinese side also presented US$ 200,000 to Mr. Khamsane Souvong, Governor of Phongsaly province. This grant aid will be used for development work in Laos’s northernmost province of Phongsaly.
