PALMALI GETS AFRAMAX TANKER
Baku, 21 November,(AzerTAj) Palmali Shipping Group of Companies has acquired a new Aframax class high-tonnage oil tanker as part of a strategy to expand its fleet.
The deadweight of the Japan-made vessel, named Baku, is 105,000 metric tons. The
ship is 237.74 meters in length, and 42 meters in width.
The vessel will make its first trip to Singapore.
Another Aframax class ship, to be named Azerbaijan, will be delivered to the company
later this year.
Recently, Palmali Shipping has been granted a $183m-loan by German banks HSH
Nordbank and DVB to purchase three high-tonnage oil tankers.
