Victims of floods in Yemen hail donation of UAE President
Sana’a, Nov 25, 2008 (WAM) - A number of victims who lost their homes during the recent flood, which overrun the Eastern areas in Yemen, thanked President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for his Nov. 11 offer to build 1, 000 houses for those affected by the floods.
They told Emirates News Agency (WAM) that they were thankful to the UAE people and leadership for their stance towards the victims of floods. Ahmed Saleh, secretary general of local council in Sah in Hadrmout Province, said that the people were upbeat about the donation of Sheikh Khalifa.
