Zardari meets Etisalat chief
Abu Dhabi Nov 25, 2008 (WAM) - Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari received yesterday Chairman of Etisalat Mohammad Hassan Omran for talks on ways to boost cooperation between telecommunications companies in the two countries.
Omran told WAM that Etisalat, which owns a 26 percent stake in Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), has a commitment to long term investment in Pakistan.
He added the Pakistani head of state welcomed Etisalat investment to Pakistan and directed Pakistani minister of finance to remove all obstacles hindering its progress in Pakistan.
