One gold, three bronze medals for Bahrain

Pristina, Apr. 4. (BNA) – The Bahraini team has achieved good results at the opening of the fifth World Shotokan Karate Championship, held in Kosovo from today to April 6. Maher Saleh Al-Sinjar clinched the gold medal of the junior under 58 kg category, carried out under the 8-pint rule of the World Karate Federation. Al Sinjar also won the bronze medal in the shobu ippon style of two points. Team members Mohammed Mahdi Bu Mezbar, from the children's category, and Khalid Ayyad Abdulla, from the junior category, notched two other bronze medals for the kingdom in the same 2-point style.
