Lao Party and State appreciate Laos-China cooperation
(KPL) High-ranking leaders of the Party and State, received a courtesy visit of China’s top political advisor, Jia Qinglin, who was on a working visit to Laos on 1-2 December.
The Lao leaders included Bounnhang Vorachit, Lao Vice-President, Mr Thongsing Thammavong, President of the National Assembly, Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh, and Mr Khamtay Siphandone, former President of the Party Executive Board and former President of the republic.
The Lao leaders warmly welcomed Mr Jia Qinglin and his delegation, whose visit was to enhance the relationship and cooperation between the two neighbours, Laos and China.
China’s top political advisor was here to bring the good wishes of senior Chinese leaders to Lao people on the occasion of the 33rd founding anniversary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, which falls on 2nd December. The good wishes from the Chinese leaders were also extended to commemorate the coming 60th founding anniversary of the Lao People’s Army.
The Party and State of Laos were happy with the result of the discussions between the high ranking officials of the Lao Front for National Construction and China’s top political advisor, which was resulted in the signing by the two parties of different cooperation agreements for various projects during Mr Jia’s visit and such a show of cooperation will certainly deepen the relationship between Laos and China.
