Zarif calls on all countries to help remove extremism

TEHRAN, Sept.3 (MNA) – Iran’s FM has called on all countries around the world to help remove extremism.
Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting with Luxembourgian counterpart Jean Asselborn said that all supports for terrorism must end and added that terrorism and extremism were threats to the region and the entire world.
He further said that Iran and Luxembourg attach importance to the issue of human rights; “principles, values and ideas of countries must be respected as an important basis for dialogue and interaction.”
Asselborn dubbed Iran’s position in the region very important and noted that Luxembourg welcomes strengthening ties with Iran.
He emphasized on Iran's nuclear rights and said that Iran has right to use peaceful nuclear energy like other member countries of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and hoped that the issue of Iran’s nuclear program will be solved in remaining time and reminded that our relations should not be upon sanctions, but upon mutual respect and cooperation.
In the meeting the two foreign ministers discussed the latest developments in Iraq, Palestine and talked about terrorism and international security issues.
Zarif who is on a European tour, left Brussels for Luxemburg on Tuesday and will leave for Rome on Wednesday.
