AZERBAIJANI PEACEMAKERS TO RETURN HOME ON DECEMBER 7
Baku, 06 December,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijani peacekeepers will return home from Iraq on December 7. A solemn ceremony on this occasion took place in the military base located in the Iraqi city of Al-Asad.
During the event, Coalition Forces Command and local authorities presented
Azerbaijani peacekeepers with military decorations for the meritorious service.
Azerbaijani servicemen handed over control of water reservoir and hydroelectric
power station to Iraqi forces.
Earlier in November this year, Milli Majlis adopted a decision on withdrawal of
Azerbaijani peacekeepers from Iraq.
