Baku, October 13 (AzerTAc). “Shamkirchay water reservoir is one of the biggest projects implemented in recent years,” said President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socioeconomic development in nine months of 2014 and objectives for the future. “A large water reservoir, a power station and canals are under construction on the river Shamkirchay. This will allow us the opportunity to expand areas under crops and open up new opportunities for farmers,” the head of state added.
