Korean researchers invited to help develop special economic zones

BANGKOK, March 9 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has invited Korean researchers to join forces with their Thai counterparts to help develop special border economic zones in Thailand. The Thai prime minister made the invitation when he met Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) President Cho Un-young at Bangkok's Government House on Monday. The Thai premier proposed that the cooperation between Thai and South Korean researchers be promoted in all dimensions, namely government-to-government, private sector-to-private sector and educational institutes-to-educational institutes deals. The visiting KIPA president expressed his confidence that Thailand should have a successful future because the Thai prime minister has good policies to develop the nation and people’s life with sciences and technologies. The KIPA chief was visiting Thailand to present the KIPA Award 2014 to the Thai prime minister for his supporting national research strategies and policies, as well as the development of Thai sciences, technologies and innovation.
