GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN ALLOTS GRANT TO IMPLEMENT FOUR PROJECTS IN AZERBAIJAN

Baku, 16 December,(AzerTAj)Agreement on allocation of the Japanese government`s
grant for implementation of four projects in Azerbaijan will be signed in Embassy of
Japan in Baku.

Financing will be carried out within the Grant Assistance for
Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
Total amount of the grants is US $ 346 thousand 417 dollars, of which $ 87, 997 to
be spent for construction of the medical point in Khusulu village of Agjabady
region, $ 88,000 for first aid center in Talalar village of Balakan region, $ 82,440
for modernization of the gynecological department in the hospital of Ivanovka
village of Ismayilli region, $ 88,000 dollars for repair of the first aid center in
Ganja hospital.
Since 2000, 114 projects worth over US $ 7mln have been financed as part of GGP
covering the areas of health, education, ecology and social welfare.
