EPICOR SEEKS STRONG PRESENCE IN MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 (Bernama) -- Epicor Software Corporation, which
provides solutions for mid-sized companies, wants to further boost its presence
in Malaysia and serve more companies based here.

Vice president of sales for Asia, Bryan Tan, said Malaysia is an important
market for Epicor together with Singapore, South Korea and China, all of which
he described as a "tier-one market".

"We are increasing our efforts to win new customers among the local
companies," he said at a media briefing on the company's latest enterprise
resource planning (ERP) solution called Epicor 9 in Singapore recently.

According to Tan, Epicor will continue to invest and hire more employees
as it sees a tremendous opportunity for growth, especially with more than 90
percent of the companies operating in the country being small and medium-sized
enterprises.

He said the company also hoped that the converged Epicor 9 product, which
is expected to be available in the Malaysian market before year-end, will help
strengthen its business here.

Utilising the Microsoft platform, the Epicor 9 is designed to enable
companies to drive greater efficiency and create business value as users are
empowered to work smarter and faster.

The Epicor 9 application can be accessed via a range of mobile devices such
as Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Symbian and Apple iPhone for wireless
business.

Tan also said that Epicor is confident about its market position,
especially in the ERP business, although it has to compete with bigger rival
companies like SAP and Oracle.

In Malaysia, Epicor has about 150 customers, of which 80 percent comprised
multinational companies.

The Kuala Lumpur office is Epicor's global support and development centre
for the Asia Pacific market, contributing around 10 percent of the company's
total Asia revenue.

The company provides integrated ERP, customer relationship management,
supply chain management and professional service automation software
solutions.

Globally, Epicor is estimated to have 28 percent share of the retail
application market. It recorded a revenue of US$430 million last year and this
is expected to grow to US$500 million this year.

The company serves over 20,000 customers in more than 140 countries,
providing solutions in 37 languages.
