Mottaki: Iran seeks logical, just ties with EU

Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA - Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said that Iran seeks logical and just ties with the Europe which should regulate its relations by taking these considerations into account.

Speaking at a farewell ceremony for the outgoing Swiss and Bangladeshi
ambassadors Phillipe Welti and Ihsan Shamim, he added that US policies
in the Middle East have failed to the extent that some observers have
even assessed them at a low level.

He described the Bangla envoy's performance during his mission as
desirable and said that Tehran and Dhaka have shared interests and
concerns.

Swiss envoy, for his part, appreciated Iran's officials for helping
him accomplishing his mission successfully and said that he anaged to
forge good communications between Iran and Switzerland.

"I leave Tehran with happy memories," he said.
