Trade turnover between Russia and Indonesia expected to reach $5 bln by 2016 - Industry and Trade Minister Manturov

KAZAN, April 9. /TASS/. The trade turnover between Russia and Indonesia is expected to reach 2016 $5 bln, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said Thursday. "Our goal is to reach the turnover volume of $5 bln by 2016. We are currently actively cooperating in aircraft, automotive, metallurgy, mining industries, in the development of transport and transport infrastructure, as well as light and the pharmaceutical industry," the Ministry stated. According to Manturov, Russia is ready to supply SSJ-100 aircraft, motor vehicles, spare parts, as well as to organize an assembly production of Kamaz trucks in Indonesia. The Russian-Indonesian business forum kicked off Thursday in Kazan. The 10th meeting of the Russian-Indonesian commission on trade, economic and technical cooperation will be held in the forum’s framework. The Indonesian delegation will visit Kazan Helicopters plant, Kazan Federal University and regional engineering center of medical simulators Eidos. According to the Economic Development Ministry, trade turnover between the two countries in 2013 amounted to $2.9 bln (growth rate - 102.7% against 2012). By 2015 this figure is expected to reach $5 bln. Russian exports amounted to $1.23 mln (growth rate - 94.2%), import - $1.72 (growth rate - 139.9%). The structure of Russian exports to Indonesia was dominated by supplies of machinery, equipment and vehicles (57.1%), metals and their products (13.0%), mineral products (11.5%) and chemical products (6.4%). Imports from Russia accounted for a significant share of Indonesia's food and agricultural raw materials (47.5%), textiles and glassware (18.1%), machinery, equipment and vehicles (15.6%), and chemical products (10.8%).
