Top diplomats of Russia, Kazakhstan to discuss integration issues, situation in Ukraine

MOSCOW, May 29. /TASS/. Foreign Ministers of Russia and Kazakhstan Sergey Lavrov and Erlan Idrissov will discuss on Friday in the Siberian city of Gorno-Altaisk a wide array of issues pertaining to bilateral relations and international cooperation and also cooperation between the two countries in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Kazakhstan’s top diplomat will be in Russia with a working visit until May 30. The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that this would become "part of intensive political dialogue between the leadership of the two countries, reflecting the high level of trust and strategic partnership and will further deepen the allied relations." "The two top diplomats will discuss key issues of the Russian-Kazakh relations, bilateral cooperation in the integration associations, regional venues and international organizations (EAEU, CSTO, SCO and CIS) and also in the UN and OSCE," the Russian Foreign Ministry said. Lavrov and Idrissov will exchange views "on topical issues of the international agenda, including the situation in Ukraine." Following the visit, the two sides will sign the Action Plan for cooperation between the foreign ministries of Russia and Kazakhstan for 2015-2016. Read more
