Putin invites Chinese businesses to Far-Eastern Economic Forum in September

UFA, July 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Chinese business executives to take part in the Far-Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on September 4-5, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said in a comment on a meeting that the President had had with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping. He added that the two Presidents had also discussed the visit to Beijing that Putin is expected to make on September 3. Also, they looked at the current shrinkage of the volume of bilateral trade, Peskov said. "There is a firm conviction the two countries’ potential is quite sufficient for mending and overcoming the deplorable tendencies," he said. One more subject Putin and Xi raised during their conversation was the importance of matching the development plans of China’s Silk Road projects and the plans of the Eurasian Economic Community.
