FOREIGN MINISTERS OF AZERBAIJAN, TURKEY AND ARMENIA TO MEET IN EARLY 2009, TURKISH


Baku, 26 December,(AzerTAj)Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Armenia will
meet again in early 2009, Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic told
journalists. Kilic said ministers of the three countries first met on September 26
in New York.
The Turkish diplomat pointed out his country supports the soonest resolution of the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. When asked about his attitude towards the Moscow
declaration on settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict signed by the presidents on
November 2, the ambassador said Turkey supports outcomes of that meeting.
The diplomat also spoke of the Caucasus Stability and Cooperation Platform proposed
by Turkey after the August developments in the South Caucasus, saying top officials
of five countries, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Georgia and Armenia gathered in
Helsinki, Finland to discus the proposal. Kilic said an agreement on the Platform is
to be prepared to be ready for signing in 2009.
