PM inspected border Special Economic Zone project in Tak province

BANGKOK, September 2 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his delegation including ministers of interior, natural resources, labour and industry boarded a flight from Bangkok to Mae Sot district of the northern province of Tak this morning. They visited an exhibition and convention centre of Mae Sot and then met local authorities to discuss the progress and obstacles of the Mae Sot border Special Economic Zone (SEZ) project. In the afternoon his delegation was set to visit the Mae Sot border crossing which is a main channel of Thai-Myanmar trade. They would also visit Mae Sot Estate Cooperative to consider its operating results and roles in promoting social business as part of the Mae Sot SEZ. Then Gen Prayut would return to the Mae Sot exhibition and convention centre to meet local people before returning to Bangkok at 6pm. (TNA)
