Thailand's Army Cyber Contest 2015 organized against online threats
BANGKOK, September 9 (TNA) - The Royal Thai Army has organized the Army Cyber Contest 2015, aimed to prepare for cyber threats.
Assistant Army Chief General Preecha Chan-ocha opened the Army Cyber Contest 2015, the first of its kind, at the Military Technology Center in Bangkok on September 9, aimed at enhancing the military's cyber capabilities.
General Preecha explained that cyber threats have affected people at all levels; so, the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the Defence Ministry are exchanging knowledge and jointly developing their capabilities to protect the Thai society from cyber threats, saying that he considers the Army Cyber Contest 2015 as a good start for the teamwork.
The fair includes presentations of digital technologies and personnel training on cyber work, exhibitions on local and overseas security products and technologies and competitions covering eight teams of contestants in the Army Cyber Contest 2015.
There are one team each representing the Defence Ministry, the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, the Royal Thai Navy and the Royal Thai Air Force, as well as four teams of the Royal Thai Army, with the winner to receive a trophy from Deputy Defence Minister and Army Chief General Udomdej Sitabutr.
