Baku, 31 December,(AzerTAj)FIDE has announced its latest rankings, placing Azerbaijani grandmaster Teymur Rajabov sixth.
Other Azerbaijani chess players Shahriyar Mammadyarov ranked 18th, while Vugar Hashimov 19th.
Bulgarian grandmaster Veselin Topalov leads the table, followed by Indian Viswanathan Anand and Ukrainian Vasily Ivanchuk.
