New telephone numbers in Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, telephone numbers of emergency and information offices will be changed from January 9

“Kazakhtelecom” explained this measure with necessity to correspond to the world standards. Usual 0 is replaced by 1. For example, people must dial not 065 but 165 to phone to central bureau of “Kazakhtelecom”. Number of information office in any city will be the same, 169. But former numbers of information offices will be valid till March 31. Almaty will pass to new numbers on March 15. And numbers of emergency services and information office 09 will be changed on the same date. 1 is added to number, not 01 but 101, 102 instead of 02, 103 instead of 03 and 104 instead of 0 etc. Numeration will be put out of exploitation on June 15.
