THAI cuts inflight wi-fi fees

BANGKOK, November 6 (TNA) - Thai Airways International (THAI), the national flag carrier, cuts its inflight wi-fi fees, starting from 4.99 US dollars for 5 megabytes as of November 6, 2015. THAI President Charamporn Jotikasthira told journalists that the national airline's inflight wi-fi service, called THAI Sky Connect, started in early 2014 to serve passengers’ demands and the service has received a warm welcome; so, THAI has decided to cut the fees to express gratitude towards clients. Apart from the inflight wi-fi fee reduction, Charamporn said that THAI has also introduced various inflight wi-fi service packages to better serve clients’ demands, noting that clients can conveniently pay for the service via their credit and debit cards. According to the THAI president, the national airline's new inflight wi-fi fee rates are at 4.99 US dollars for 5 megabytes, 8.99 US dollars for 10MB, 16.99 US dollars for 20MB and 24.99 US dollars for 30MB. The THAI Sky Connect is available on 13 THAI aircraft, including six Airbus A380-800 planes on routes to London, Paris, Frankfurt, Tokyo and Hong Kong and seven Airbus A330-300 planes on routes to Tokyo, Fukuoka, Kolkata, Taipei, Yangon, Hong Kong and Dubai.
