PM attends APEC summit in the Philippines
MANILA, Nov 18 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha arrived in Manila to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders Meeting (AELM) which began on Nov 18.
The development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and communities will be emphasized there.
The 23rd AELM on “Inclusive Growth through Integrated Economies” gathers the leaders of 21 countries from Nov 17 to 19. Participants were expected to discuss economic integration in the region, the participation of SMEs, and the development of human capital and sustainable and strong communities.
The Thai prime minister would present to the APEC Business Advisory Council his policies to promote SMEs, innovation, digital economy and inclusive growth as well as His Majesty the King’s guidelines on sufficiency economy.
Besides, Gen Prayut was also set to have bilateral talks with many national leaders including the president of Colombia, the prime ministers of Russia and Papua New Guinea and the chief executive of Hong Kong to boost international cooperation and relations.
In this AELM Thailand would present its economic development policies and measures to free itself from the middle income trap and ensure its sustainable growth. (TNA)
