ANTI-ISRAEL RALLY IN FRONT OF PALESTINIAN EMBASSY
Jakarta, Jan. 7 (ANTARA) - Jakartas residents planned to stage an anti-Israeli rally in front of the Palestinian embassy here on Wednesday to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people.
From the Palestinian embassy, they would proceed to the Egyptian embassy to urge the Egyptian government to be more proactive in helping Palestinians in the Gaza Strip which shares a border with Egypt, according to information from the Jakarta Police's Traffic Management Center here on Wednesday.
Anti-Israeli rallies have taken place in Jakarta and other cities in Indonesia since the Israeli military attacks in the Gaza Strip on December 27, 2008, which have killed more than 600 Palestinians and injured over 2,500 others.
