Mongolian delegation at IFAD Governing Council Session

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mongolian delegation headed by Kh.Gantsogt, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, took part in the 2016 session of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) which ran this February 17-18 in Rome, Italy. During the session, the State Secretary delivered a report on a present situation of the agricultural sector of Mongolia, on challenges, the ongoing policy on developing agriculture, and on the Mongolia-IFAD cooperation. The delegation held a meeting with Mr Perin Saint Ange, the IFAD Regional Director of East African Affairs, and with Ms Hoonae Kim, the Director of the IFAD Asia and Pacific Division. The sides discussed issues of the Mongolia-IFAD cooperation such as outcomes of a project called “Market and pasture management”, and reached a concurrence to take extra financing for continuing this project in Mongolia.
