AZERBAIJAN`S OMBUDSPERSON PREPARES PLAN OF MEASURES ON COE`S 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Baku, January 9 (AzerTAc).Commissioner for Human Rights of Azerbaijan Elmira
Suleymanova has prepared a plan of measures to mark the 60th anniversary of the
Council of Europe and the 50th anniversary of the European Court of Human Rights.
The first event on “CoE and Azerbaijan: cooperation of ombudsman in protection of
human rights” will be held on January 23, and will be attended by representatives
from state bodies, international and non-governmental organizations and others.
The series of events will be ended on June 18 – International human rights day with
holding the seventh Baku conference which will bring together European commissioners
for human rights, CoE Commissioner for Human Rights, representatives from the
European Ombudsman Institute and others.
