JUHAN PARTS: ESTONIA IS INTERESTED IN DEVELOPMENT OF ALL-ROUND RELATIONS WITH AZERBAIJAN

Baku, January 14 (AzerTAc). “Estonia is interested in development of all-round relations with Azerbaijan”, said Minister of Economy and Communication of Estonia Juhan Parts at a press conference on results of Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves` official trip to Azerbaijan.

Parts said Estonian President`s visit to Azerbaijan is the first in the history of
bilateral relations, adding the aim of the visit is to expand bilateral ties in all
fields.
The Estonian Minister said the meetings discussed a wide range of issues, including
expansion of economic and trade relations.
Touching upon the efforts made to strengthen economic cooperation, Parts described
as an important the Estonia-Azerbaijan business forum, which was held on January 13,
in creation of relations among businessmen of the two countries.
He stressed current problems occurred among Russia and Ukraine on transportation of
gas to Europe, once more improves the importance of Nabucco project. He noted
Azerbaijan`s potential in supply of energy security of the Europe.
The Estonian official said his country is ready to assist Azerbaijan in the field of
information communication technologies.
Finally, the Estonian Minister answered the questions of journalists.
Public Relations Adviser to the Estonian President Toomas Sildam, Chairman of the
Council of the Confederation of Estonian Employers Enn Veskimagi and Chairwoman of
the Estonia-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce Jana Krimpe were present at the event.
