NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT CAN ONLY BE RESOLVED THROUGH STAGE-BY-STAGE SETTLEMENT PLAN, PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV
Baku, January 17 (AzerTAc). “The Moscow Declaration signed between Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents shows that all stages of settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be provided with international guarantee. It shows plainly that the dispute can only be resolved through stage-by-stage settlement plan, President Ilham
Aliyev said, Friday, at the meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers to sum up socio-economic results of the last year.
The President noted that first of all, the occupied territories of Azerbaijan must be freed from the Armenian occupation forces and security problems must be resolved on the basis of international guarantee. “If these problems are resolved, the future status of Nagorno-Karabakh can be discussed, but on the basis of Azerbaijan`s
territorial integrity. This is an unchangeable position of Azerbaijan” the President said.
The Head of State also underlined that the Moscow Declaration serves Azerbaijan`s national interests.
