Environment expo to feature exhibitors from 28 countries

Abu Dhabi – Jan 18, 2009 (WAM) The fifth edition of the environment exhibition being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec) starting Monday will feature 256 exhibitors from 28 countries showcasing a range of water, waste and air quality management solutions. The Environment 2009 Exhibition and Conference is being held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Germany, France, UK, Italy, Switzerland and China are putting up national pavilions at the three-day event, which is expected to draw over 10,000 visitors from some 25 countries.
The event will take up 10,000 square metres of display space at Adnec.
The exhibitor profile includes pollution treatment and recycling, energy, protection of natural and cultural resources, risk prevention and management, sustainable development, regulation, audit and consultancy, training and education, among other areas.
A conference on "Sustainable Management for Coastal Zones" will also be held starting Tuesday, which will provide a platform for key stakeholders involved in managing the region's coastal zones to network, discuss and debate solutions to coastal degradation across the Middle East and North Africa region.
