TO MINIMIZE CONSEQUENCES OF WORLD FINANCIAL CRISIS IN AZERBAIJAN IS THE MAIN GOAL IN

Baku, 19 January (AzerTAc). “To minimize consequences of world financial crisis in
Azerbaijan is the main goal in 2009”, said President Ilham Aliyev on Friday at the
meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to sum up socio-economic results of 2008.
The Head of State said 2009 will be very difficult for the world economy.
“Azerbaijan`s economy is a part of the world economy, it is successfully integrating
into the world economy and our economic potential is being strengthened. All these
factors willingly or unwillingly may negatively influence upon Azerbaijan as well.
However, infrastructural, social and economic programs for 2009 must be
implemented.”
