Nahyan bin Mubarak receives Order of Merit of the Italian Republic

H.E. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, minister of Higher Education '&' Scientific Research, has been awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, in recognition of his efforts in promoting research and cultural and educational achievements. Gianfranco Fini, Speaker of the Italian Parliament, decorated Sheikh Nahyan with the Order during a ceremony held here yesterday. A number of dignitaries, including political, economic and cultural personalities attended the ceremony. Sheikh Nahyan thanked the Italian presidency, saying the award was an example of progressive ties between the UAE and Italy.
