Gazprom resumes gas supplies to Europe through Sudzha station
Moscow, January 20, SPA -- Gazprom resumed natural gas supplies to
Europe through the Sudzha station at 10:05, Moscow time, and at
11:10, Moscow time, gas supplies commenced for Ukrainian consumers,
Itar-Tass quoted the information department of the Russian gas giant
as saying in an official statement.
The first application for a transit of 99.2 million cubic meters of
gas through Sudzha was sent to Naftogaz Urkainy at 05:50, Moscow
time, on Tuesday.
"After the applications from Ukrainian and European consumers were
specified, the second application was sent to Naftogaz Ukrainy
declaring a transit of 423.8 million cubic meters of gas a day (it
included the volume stated in the first application), Gazprom said in
the statement.
The volume of gas intended for exports is 348.8 million cubic meters,
and another 75 million cubic meters will be supplied to Ukrainian
consumers.
In 2009, 40 billion cubic meters of natural gas are to be supplied to
Ukraine.
