AZERBAIJAN AND IRAN DISCUSS PASSENGER TRAFFIC
Baku, January 23 (AzerTAc). In accordance with the agreement on international motor transportation between governments of Azerbaijan and Iran, the Joint commission convened a regular meeting in Astara (Iran) and Astara (Azerbaijan) cities, Azerbaijani Transport Ministry said.
The Azerbaijani delegation included employees of the State Customs Committee, State
Frontier Service, Ministry of Transport and other agencies.
The meeting discussed issues on elimination of obstacles for international motor
transportation, simplification of border crossing in the customs checkpoints, as
well as improvement of the passenger traffic, opening of new bus routes and other
issues.
The meeting also discussed opening of the bus route Baku-Mashhad.
