Malaysia: Women Urged To Explore Creative Business Industry

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- Women should take the opportunity to explore the creative business industry which has a broad market said Malaysia's Women Entrepreneurship and Professional Development advisor at the Prime Minister's Department Shahrizat Abdul Jalil. Shahrizat said the creative field was not only limited to just fashion and design but also covered a host of products. "The creative field has tremendous potential, it is not just about fashion and clothes. It can be developed into a successful business if explored further," she said at the pre-launch of '2016 Women's Creative Fest' (WKF2016) Friday. The Wanita UMNO chief added that women entrepreneurs in Malaysia were always given support in terms of capital and training to help expand their businesses. The three-day event which ends on Sunday is aimed at improving the performance and creativity among women through business information sharing and sales promotion activities through exhibitions, trade fairs and sales bazaars. The event held at Dewan Tun Razak 1, Putra World Trade Centre showcases local products at over 120 display stalls and organised by the UMNO Economic Development and Entrepreneurship Secretariat and several non-governmental organisations including Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Tengku Nur Zahirah Foundation. -- BERNAMA
