Vienna-Shiraz direct flight to be launched soon: Offical

Shiraz, Fars Prov, Nov 14, IRNA – Direct flights between Shiraz, the capital of this southern Iranian province, and the Austrian capital city of Vienna will be launched in the near future, a provincial official announced. Reza Badieifard, director general of the Fars Province Airports, told IRNA that the new service aims to make air links between Shiraz and the big European airlines. Those direct flights will play a leading role in development of tourism in this Iranian province, the official added. In the next four months, two groups of the Austrian tourists from Linz and Graz are planned to travel to Shiraz through charter flights, he noted. Persepolis, known in Persian as Takht-e Jamshid, is Iran's most famous tourist attraction located in Fars province, 40 km from the provincial capital, Shiraz. 1378/IRNA
