USAID STARTS NEW PHASE OF “INTER-COMMUNITY RELATIONS” PROGRAM
Baku, 23 January (AzerTAc. New phase of the “Inter-community relations” program
financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) starts in
Azerbaijan.
It is planned in the frame of Program, this year selection of 8 professionals on the
topics “Cooperation of NGO and Municipalities in Development of Communities”,
“Transport Security” and “Creation, Maintenance and Management of the economic
research centers” and their three-week trainings in the United States.
At the presentation of the new phase of Program, held on 23 January, it was noted
that in the contest on the topic “Cooperation of NGO and Municipalities in
Development of Communities”, the representatives of Ganja, Shamkir, Qazakh and
Khachmaz provinces can take part.
Professionals from various spheres on the topic “Transport Security in Azerbaijan”
will study the American experience of secure steering vehicles, organizing and
developing campaign for propaganda and public awareness in the field of transport
safety.
The topic “Creation, Maintenance and Management of the Economic Research Centers” is
also envisioned for the entire republic. Participants on this topic will be informed
what assistance the scientific-research centers of the United States render to the
government.
In the frame of “Inter-community relations” program being realized since 2005, so
far, 157 people were sent to the United States, while in the last year 36 Azeri
specialists have visited USA.
