AZERBAIJAN’S AMBASSADOR CONGRATULATES HILLARY CLINTON ON HER APPOINTMENT AS US SECRETARY OF STATE
Baku, January 23 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to the United States of America Yashar Aliyev congratulated Hillary Clinton on her appointment as US Secretary of State, Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
Attending Barack Obama's swearing in ceremony as US President, Ambassador Yashar
Aliyev in his short talk to Mrs. Hillary Clinton expressed confidence for further
development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and US in the period of new
administration.
As known, the US Senate, by a vote of 94-2, on Wednesday approved Hillary Rodham
Clinton as the Secretary of State, which is the third highest post in the US
Administration after the country’s president and vice-president.
